Wright Helps Knickerbockers Beat Explorers, 9-4
Knickerbockers second baseman Steve Wright left his imprint on his team's 9-4 win over the St. Louis Explorers. Wright was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for New York in the contest. The win gives New York a season record of 35-29.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Wright delivered big-time for New York, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Tommie Jones. The game-changing hit put the Knickerbockers on top, 5-2.

"Solid performance from our side," said Knickerbockers manager Timothy Widholm.
