Wranglers Deal Drillers 2-1 Loss
|
Dallas pitcher Rob Banas did his part in helping his team defeat the Houston Drillers, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Dario Perez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Larry Clarke suffered the loss. The Drillers, now 26-38, have lost 5 in a row.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Steve Hudson drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Wranglers went on to win.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Houston manager Tom Harrington. "Obviously."
