Bobcats Win, 6-5, in 11
The Cleveland Bobcats did just enough to nip the Philadelphia Quakers, 6-5, in 11 innings. Cleveland pitcher Myron Baird, in particular, had a standout performance. Steve Cheatham picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Art Wohlt suffered the loss. Philadelphia is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.

Art Spruill came through with a big-time hit for Cleveland. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Baird told the Cleveland Daily News.
