Emeralds Earn 5-3 Home Win
|
The Seattle Emeralds locked up a win at Puget Field, knocking off the Boston Terriers, 5-3. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander Paul Geary. He played a major role in the triumph. Tommy Westfield, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. The Terriers, now 30-34, have lost 7 straight.
Charlie Hall, who is tied for 7th in the ABL in RBI with 35, took Boston hurler Alex Alonso deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Emeralds on top, 3-1. In all, Hall had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Geary.
