Seagulls Suffer 3-1 Road Loss
|
In a tight tilt between the Baltimore Lords and the San Francisco Seagulls, John Pardoe was the deciding factor. The Baltimore left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Pardoe got the win, improving to 4-8. He gave up 2 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Getting the save was Denny Boyd, his 6th.
The Lords got a big at-bat from first baseman Armando Landa. For the game, Landa was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 2-0 lead.
"It's always extra special to win at home," said Landa.
The Lords go to 24-44 with the win.
