Seidler Slugs Traders to 13-4 Win
|
Getting a good performance from first baseman John Seidler, the Chicago Traders defeated the Kansas City Bulls, 13-4. Seidler belted 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times for the Traders. Dick Scorza, the winning pitcher, is now 3-6. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 1 and walking 1. The 5th-place Traders have won 4 consecutive games.
With Chicago leading 3-1 in the bottom of the first, Seidler hit a fastball from Dennis Greenlee for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Traders ahead, 6-1.
"I like our mindset right now," said Chicago manager Larry Link.
