Bluebirds Rally For Late Win Over Captains
The Brooklyn Bluebirds defeated the San Diego Captains, 9-2, at San Diego Sporting Complex. Brooklyn was led by 27-year old center fielder Don Calise, who went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. With the win over San Diego, the Bluebirds improved to 39-27.

Brooklyn relied on the hitting of Mike LeDuc to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bluebirds on top, 3-2. For the game, LeDuc had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Joe Mack.
