Dairymen Walk It Off for 33rd Win of Season
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Tom Adams, the St. Louis Explorers lost to the Milwaukee Dairymen, 4-3. Adams was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dan Valenti picked up the win in relief. Tony LaDuke took the loss for St. Louis. The Dairymen have now won 4 straight.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 3-3, 28-year old right-handed pitcher Randy Adams won it for Milwaukee. With a runner on 2nd, Adams hit a 1-1 fastball from Tony LaDuke for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.

Adams described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
