Gilson Goes Distance in 4-1 Win
|
The San Diego Captains picked up a win at San Diego Sporting Complex, taking down the Chicago Traders, 4-1. Starting pitcher Dave Gilson was a big reason why. Chicago falls to 2-5.
Gilson was in the zone all game. He frustrated Chicago hitters while giving the Captains 9 innings of quality work. Gilson threw 110 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Gilson.
