Ramirez Tames Cleveland
|
Juan Ramirez kept the Cleveland Bobcats hitters from doing much damage at Quakers Stadium.
Cleveland could only muster 2 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Ramirez, who controlled them throughout the game. Philadelphia won the contest, 4-0. Ramirez added 2 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Ramirez told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
This season to date, Ramirez has a record of 3 wins and 4 losses with a 3.21 ERA, has appeared in 13 games and struck out 36 in 92.2 innings.
