The Twin Cities Northmen picked up a win at Sam Houston Field, knocking off the Houston Drillers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Jeff Jordan was a big reason why. Curt Kirkley, credited with the save, is now 4 for 4 in save opportunities. The win elevated the Northmen to 38-29.

Juan Alicea drove in one run for Twin Cities. The 30-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jerry Pederson. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Alicea.
