Chicago used a superb performance from starting pitcher Johnny Russell to down the Dallas Wranglers, 2-0. Ron Woods earned the save, his 2nd, for the Hawks. The 6th-place Hawks improved to 24-44.
Russell gave Chicago an exquisite performance. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
Russell called the win "a collective effort."
