Legrow goes 3-for-5 in San Francisco Win
|
The San Francisco Seagulls beat the Baltimore Lords, 8-3, at Seton Hill Stadium. The Seagulls got a fine performance from center fielder Matt Legrow, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The win elevated the Seagulls to 39-27.
With San Francisco leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh, Legrow hit a run-scoring single off Baltimore hurler Denny Boyd. It was the 62nd hit of the season for Legrow and put his team ahead, 4-2.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
