Baltimore picked up a win at Seton Hill Stadium, bumping off the Atlanta Generals, 8-2. Pitcher Larry Diego was a major reason the Lords emerged victorious. Diego yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-1. Gilberto Rivera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.

John Balliet had a big 2-run double for the Lords in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Baltimore leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Ron Cwiklinski, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1967 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lords ahead, 5-2.

Baltimore manager Steve Read commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
