Burros Win 8-4 Nail-Biter Versus Knickerbockers
The Denver Burros battled the New York Knickerbockers into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Burros won it, finally, 8-4, in 12 innings. In the game, Denver third baseman Jamie Robinson went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Craig Kelly picked up the win in relief for Denver, while Ollie Hundley took the loss. The Burros, now 36-30, have won 6 in a row.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Robinson hit a fastball from Ollie Hundley for a grand slam home run. The Burros, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Robinson.
