Lott Now 1-0 After Beating Bobcats
|
Corps of Discovery Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Cleveland Bobcats and St. Louis Explorers.
The St. Louis Explorers got a stellar effort from pitcher Dick Lott, helping St. Louis score a win over the visiting Cleveland Bobcats, 2-0. Bernie Tate earned the save, his 2nd, for the Explorers.
Lott yielded no runs on 5 hits over 8.2 innings for the Explorers. For the season, Lott has a record of 1-0 with 7 strikeouts.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Lott. "Obviously."
The win gives St. Louis a record of 4-3.
