Bobcats Come Back Late to Top Packers, 2-0
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Cincinnati Packers take on the Cleveland Bobcats.

The Cleveland Bobcats faced a tough opponent in Cincinnati pitcher Jackie Richardson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Roman Arena by a final score of 2-0. Richardson went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Scott Dubyak. He's now 1-1. He went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 7 hits for the Bobcats. Picking up his 1st save was 1965 Rookie of the Year Award winner Joe Clabaugh.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Phil Chirico? The 28-year old center fielder Chirico stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Cleveland up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Chirico.

The loss has the Packers at 4-4.
