With 3-2 Win, Bobcats Improve to 36-31
|
In a low-scoring game between the Cleveland Bobcats and the Philadelphia Quakers, pitcher Bob Yolton was the difference-maker. The Cleveland right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Bobcats win. Cleveland has now won 3 in a row.
The Bobcats got a big at-bat from left fielder Phil Chirico. For the game, Chirico was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Cleveland a 3-2 lead.
