Though he had a terrific game, Jackie Frost could not prevent his team, the Houston Drillers, from absorbing a loss. Montreal won the game, 7-3. Frost went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rich Barron got the win, improving to 7-3. He held the Drillers to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Montreal is now 36-31, Houston 35-32.

Grammercy Locke, who finished 2nd in the NBL in triples with 15 in 1955, helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 3 with a double and was hit by a pitch.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Houston skipper Steven Palps.
