Seagulls Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Terriers, 5-4
The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at Mission Field, taking down the Boston Terriers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Pete Ragsdale was a big reason why. The loss makes Boston 27-40.

Jose Barroso, who is a two-time All-Star, helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher was 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Pete did a good job of managing their lineup," said San Francisco manager Al Borie.
