Generals Take Tight Tilt, 4-3
Thanks in large part to first baseman Ed Mika, the Atlanta Generals beat the Toronto Hurons, 4-3. Mika went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Atlanta pitcher Ron Cwiklinski got the win. He's now 5-3. Dan Crumm was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Hurons now sit at 35-34.

Second Baseman Roberto Palacios made an impact for Atlanta, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Dan Crumm in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Palacios was 1-4 with a double.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Mika.
