The Chicago Hawks defeated the Houston Drillers, 6-3. Doing his part was second baseman Sergio Morales, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Chicago used a well-timed hit by Don Bozza to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Hawks ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
