Industrials Down Bobcats, 5-3
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials bested the Cleveland Bobcats, 5-3, at Lakefront Stadium. Don Keough was one of the standouts. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Bob Cole claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 4-3. The Industrials sit in third place in the National Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 37-31.
Keough had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 sinker from Rick Tomlinson, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Industrials a 4-3 lead. It was the 16th double of the year for Keough.
"We did enough to win," said Keough.
