Wolverines Squelch Generals Offense in Shutout Win
Detroit Wolverines starter Scott Litwak hurled his team past the Atlanta Generals, 6-0. In 7 innings, Litwak surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Detroit raised its record to 38-31 with the win.

The Wolverines got a big at-bat from third baseman Joe Voss. For the game, Voss went 1-1 with a triple. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Detroit a 1-0 lead.
