San Francisco Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
A 4-RBI performance from right fielder Bobby Tapia, who finished 2nd in the ABL in OPS with .881 in 1974, led the San Francisco Seagulls to a win over the New York Empires, 9-7. San Francisco pitcher Archie Sereni got the win, upping his record to 4-1. Danilo Molina got the loss. The win puts San Francisco at 36-33 this season.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Francisco trailing 7-6, Tapia jumped on a fastball from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Danilo Molina and hit a 3-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Seagulls had a walk-off win.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Tapia.
