Hawks Hand Houston 7-2 Loss
|
Chicago took on Houston in front of a lively crowd.
Behind the hitting of Alex Robinson, the Chicago Hawks stopped the Houston Drillers, 7-2. Robinson was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Hawks. The winning pitcher was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Dan Lee. He tossed 103 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The save was credited to Ron Woods, his 5th.
Sergio Morales, who is tied for 9th in the ABL in hits with 77, helped out the Chicago cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Houston manager Tom Harrington.
Chicago is 30-39 and Houston, with the loss, 27-42.
