Houston beat Chicago on the strength of starting pitcher Francisco Castro's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Tom McAteer wrapped it up, recording his 15th save. Houston has now won 3 straight, while the Hawks have lost 3 in a row.

With Houston leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Castro hit a run-scoring single off Chicago hurler Ken Eldridge. It was the 8th hit of the season for Castro and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"Francisco knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Houston manager Tom Harrington.
