San Francisco Makes Dallas 3-2 Losers
|
In a tight tilt between the San Francisco Seagulls and the Dallas Wranglers, Arturo Lopez was the deciding factor. The San Francisco right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. San Francisco reliever Dan Wood was the winner. His record is now 3-5. The losing pitcher was Rob Banas. Reggie Eubanks closed the door for San Francisco, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Had Gail Bishop not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bishop hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Seagulls.
After the game, San Francisco manager Al Borie applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The defeat makes Dallas 38-34.
