Habitants Suffer 2-0 Road Loss
|
The Baltimore Lords converted a terrific effort from starter John Pardoe into a win over the Montreal Habitants at Seton Hill Stadium. The Lords won the game by a final score of 2-0. Pardoe, the winner, moves to 7-6. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 1 walk. With the win, the Lords hiked their record to 39-34.
The Lords had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Baltimore, with one out. Montreal, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Billy Groh dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 curveball, he struck out.
