Blockbusters Popped by Dairymen, 6-3
|
Starting pitcher Ken Brown pitched well enough to help the Milwaukee Dairymen beat the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 6-3. The Dairymen improved their record to 33-39 by beating Los Angeles.
Charlie Fee had a big grand slam home run for the Dairymen in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a splitter from Rick McStay, who is tied for 8th in the NBL in wins with 7, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Dairymen on top, 6-1.
Brown told a Milwaukee Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
