Gay Severely Scalded by Hot Water Saturday, January 22nd , 1977 Empires third baseman Steve Gay received medical attention yesterday after being scalded at his home. Gay was apparently attempting to boil a pot of water when he accidentally knocked the pot over onto his right arm. The injury will reportedly cause Gay to be out of action for the next week as the burns heal. |
