Klug Extends Stay with Quakers
Friday, January 19th , 1973
Fans hailed the signing of Darrell Klug today as the Philadelphia Quakers closer came to terms with the club.

Set to make $756,000 over the upcoming 3 years, Klug signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency.

Klug has appeared in 196 games in his career and saved 18 of them. He sports an ERA of 3.22 with 463 strikeouts in 861 innings. His lifetime won-lost record is 50-39.
