Injury Setback for Terriers Middleton Saturday, May 13th , 1967 All is not well with Lou Middleton in his recovery from back soreness. The 32-year-old Terriers center fielder has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Middleton and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Middleton had re-injured himself and would now miss at least one week because of it. This season Middleton is hitting at a .282 pace with no home runs, 8 RBIs and has scored 8 times. |
