MLB Headline News: Draft Pool Revealed Wednesday, February 14th , 1968 The list of players who have declared for the first-year player draft was announced earlier today. BNN will have special coverage dedicated to this draft. Just look in the transaction section for the special page dedicated to the young players hoping to make a name for themselves in the show. Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool for 200 days before the draft is held. The early favorites to be high picks are the following: 1. Manuel Castillo, 18 year-old SS out of college. 2. Roberto Hinojosa, 22 year-old SS out of college. 3. Roberto Palacios, 21 year-old 2B out of college. 4. Richie Lord, 21 year-old CF out of college. 5. Jackie Cooper, 18 year-old CF out of high-school. 6. Roberto Soto, 17 year-old 2B out of high-school. 7. Marty Berberet, 18 year-old 2B out of high-school. 8. Ed Hudson, 17 year-old 3B out of high-school. 9. Ed White, 18 year-old C out of high-school. 10. Alex Fonseca, 22 year-old LHP out of college.
