Injury Worsens, Return Delayed for Bulls Alva Saturday, April 23rd , 1977 The Kansas City Bulls received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Mario Alva would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Alva, who is currently out with knee tendinitis, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 26-year-old shortstop will have to spend another one week in treatment. Alva is currently hitting .278 with no home runsand 4 RBIs, while scoring 1 run. |
