Castro Takes Home ABL Top Batter Award Sunday, May 1st , 1977 Al Castro, the New York right fielder, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .337 batting average with 33 hits, 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 21 times. That kind of hitting earned him the American Baseball League Batter of the Month honors for April. |
