Mitchell Day-to-Day with Injury
Friday, May 4th , 1973
Larry Mitchell, the talented Los Angeles star, suffered a forearm strain yesterday in the game with the Bulls, which could keep him out of today's lineup. "I'm a bit banged up," said the 22-year-old starting pitcher, "but we won't know until game time if I can play or not." Mitchell got hurt while throwing a pitch. The team doctor said he could be out up to 3-4 weeks.
This year, Mitchell has registered 1 win and 5 losses in 7 starts with a 3.83 ERA while registering 36 strikeouts and 15 walks in 49.1 innings.
