Trade: Grissinger for Kurtz
Monday, May 23rd , 1977
It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Milwaukee Dairymen and Pittsburgh Industrials finalized a trade today. Milwaukee will send 27-year old RHP Denny Grissinger to the Industrials, while the Dairymen will receive 23-year old 2B Jay Kurtz.
"We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Dairymen general manager Brandon Dudley said.
The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day.
For the year, Grissinger has a 1-3 record with a 4.91 ERA in 7 starts.
