Pardoe Hurls 3-0 Shutout
Monday, May 31st , 1971
Baltimore Lords pitcher John Pardoe blanked the New York Empires, 3-0, at Queens Field, tossing a 4-hitter while issuing 1 walk and collecting 6 strikeouts.
After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club.
"I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Pardoe said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
To date this season, Pardoe sports a 2-8 mark with a 2.49 ERA in 11 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .235 batting average and has 57 strikeouts in 79.2 innings.
