Jordan Baffles New York Batters
Sunday, June 6th , 1976
In a remarkable performance, Philadelphia Quakers starter Jeff Jordan beat the New York Knickerbockers, 7-0, in an impressive 6-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Quakers hurler finished with 8 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," New York manager Sean Kelly said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

This season, Jordan has a 6-2 record with a 2.43 ERA in 10 starts.
