Weingartz Whips Cleveland, 5-0 Friday, June 6th , 1975 In a seemingly effortless performance, Bret Weingartz of the Kansas City Bulls shot down the Cleveland Bobcats, 5-0, on 6 hits. "Bret was just locating so well and using his pitches," Kansas City manager DD Martin said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Weingartz recorded 5 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Cleveland manager Daniel Mays said in postgame comments to BNN.
