Ovitt Leads Atlanta to 5-0 Win Over Baltimore Saturday, June 11th , 1977 In a remarkable performance, Atlanta Generals starter Gary Ovitt beat the Baltimore Lords, 5-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Generals hurler finished with 5 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Baltimore manager Steve Read said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
