Blalock Breezes to Shutout Victory

Magic was in the air and on the mound at Blockbuster Stadium today as Mike Blalock held the Los Angeles Blockbusters spellbound in his 2-0 shutout victory. The Milwaukee Dairymen pitcher went the distance, rang up 1 strikeout, walked 2 and held the Blockbusters to 6 hits to garner the win.
"He just had us in his thrall," Los Angeles manager John Trausch said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
To this point in the season Blalock has 5 wins and 9 losses and a 3.72 ERA.
