Blalock Breezes to Shutout Victory Friday, August 4th , 1967 Magic was in the air and on the mound at Blockbuster Stadium today as Mike Blalock held the Los Angeles Blockbusters spellbound in his 2-0 shutout victory. The Milwaukee Dairymen pitcher went the distance, rang up 1 strikeout, walked 2 and held the Blockbusters to 6 hits to garner the win. "He just had us in his thrall," Los Angeles manager John Trausch said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
