Bob Schar Blanks Detroit, 8-0 Tuesday, June 17th , 1975 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Detroit Wolverines as starter Bob Schar shut them out, 8-0, at Wolverine Field. The Montreal pitcher struck out 4 and walked 4 while allowing 2 hits. "Schar was good but he wasn't flawless," Detroit manager Alex Wobbema said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Montreal, but this is on us."
