Kansas City's Alva to Miss 6 Weeks Wednesday, June 22nd , 1977 Mario Alva of the Kansas City Bulls was injured in today's game against San Diego and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn abdominal muscle, and he is expected to be out for up to 6 weeks. It happened while Alva was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest.
