Zero Hour: Fagnani Blanks Emeralds
Sunday, June 7th , 1970
Today was Adrian Fagnani's turn in the rotation for the Houston Drillers and he made the most of it, shutting out the Seattle Emeralds on 3 hits.
The 26-year-old right-hander led the Drillers to an easy 7-0 victory, allowing 3 walks and tallying 11 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Seattle manager Mark Velez said. "Fagnani certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
For the season to date, Fagnani has no saves in 6 relief appearances with a 2-0 record and 1.64 ERA.
