Sisson Rockets 3 HR Against Los Angeles Saturday, June 3rd , 1972 Whatever Mark Sisson ate for breakfast before his game against the Los Angeles Pobladores, it gave him some impressive power. The Houston center fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at San Vicente Park. His home run barrage helped the Drillers defeat the Pobladores, 6-2. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-5, scored 3 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Mark Sisson hit a two-run home run off Jimmy Bell in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jimmy Bell in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Rios in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Thus far this year, Sisson has hit .254 with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
