NBL Honors June's #1 Pitcher Saturday, July 1st , 1972 In June when the Pittsburgh manager wrote the name "Visco" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Dennis Visco took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 6-0 mark and 1.17 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Industrials star pitched 54 innings, fanned 42 and held opposing teams to a .215 average. For his outstanding mound performance Visco was named the NBL Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. Visco has posted a 9-4 record for the year with a 2.65 ERA. Teams are hitting .231 against him and he has rung up 104 strikeouts in 135.2 innings. |
