Cleveland Beats Philadelphia as Baird Throws 6-0 Shutout Saturday, July 8th , 1972 Philadelphia were shut out, 6-0, by Myron Baird and the Cleveland Bobcats at Lakefront Stadium. The Quakers offered little resistance to Baird, who stopped them on 6 hits, fanned 5 and walked 1. "It just felt right today," the right-handed Baird told reporters after the win.
