Week's Premier Performer Honored by ABL Monday, July 24th , 1972 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Pete Morrison was rewarded with the American Baseball League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Detroit Wolverines right fielder hit .414 while collecting 12 hits in 29 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. Thus far in 1972, Morrison is hitting .265 with 18 home runs, 53 RBIs, 59 runs scored and has compiled a .368 OBP. |
