Briggs Befuddles Los Angeles in 4-0 Pittsburgh Win

In a remarkable performance, Pittsburgh Industrials starter Bob Briggs beat the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 4-0, in an impressive 1-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Industrials hurler finished with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Los Angeles manager John Trausch said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
His record for the year is 11-9 in 27 starts and Briggs has a 2.95 ERA.
