Rehab Road Tough for Knickerbockers Brian Williams
Thursday, August 19th , 1976
The New York Knickerbockers received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Brian Williams would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Williams, who is currently out with a strained ligament in his knee, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 30-year-old reliever will have to spend another 4 weeks in treatment.

To date he has nailed down 5 saves for his club. In 40 relief appearances, Williams has 24 strikeouts in 50.1 innings with a 3.93 ERA and a 4-3 mark.
