Player of the Week Trophy to Morris Monday, July 31st , 1972 This week Mark Morris, right fielder for the Chicago Hawks, hit his way to the American Baseball League Player of the Week Award. Morris put on a hitting clinic with a .533 average as he belted and battered ABL pitchers for 16 hits in 30 at-bats, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. For the season, Morris is hitting .312, batted in 94 runs with 23 home runs and 47 runs scored. |
