New York Hopeless Against Ledington
Wednesday, August 25th , 1976
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the New York Knickerbockers as starter Art Ledington shut them out, 3-0, at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Cincinnati pitcher struck out 3 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits.

"Ledington was good but he wasn't flawless," New York manager Sean Kelly said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Cincinnati, but this is on us."

This season, Ledington has worked 195 innings with 111 strikeouts en route to a 14-6 record and a 3.14 ERA.
