New York Hopeless Against Ledington Wednesday, August 25th , 1976 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the New York Knickerbockers as starter Art Ledington shut them out, 3-0, at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Cincinnati pitcher struck out 3 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits. "Ledington was good but he wasn't flawless," New York manager Sean Kelly said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Cincinnati, but this is on us."
